I don't think that dismissing something that is self promotional should be automatic. Suppose that someone you respect wanted to write a guest post on your blog about something new he has coming down the pipe -- kind of like a news release.

If it is something that your readers would benefit from then it would be worth considering.

But if it is just some stranger that wants to write all about themselves and their products then you'd be right to dismiss them.

You're absolutely right about the importance of a header. I also agree with your point of not including ads above the header. According to Google, your ads may not be so heavy that they over-ride the main content of the site.

Hi Obaidul,

I think the header should be a representation of the warmth of the content of your blog. It should give the reader something of an idea of what to expect if they keep reading. And, I think in most cases, it's a good idea to keep ads away from the header. The reader will appreciate that and Google may penalize you for having ads above the header. I hope this comment contributes to the discussion.

Yes you gotta have a compelling and captivating header with great copy that is why I sometimes make my own headers and banners in Photoshop, Power Point and other banner making websites. Great Post!

There's little doubt that the blogosphere is getting more and more competitive with each passing day. That's why it's advisable that newbies choose smaller or incredibly specific niches while starting a blog. If you choose a niche that's highly competitive, it will be extremely difficult to monetize.

Really comment is the
life of blog and without comment blog’s are valueless, but many blogs are not
accepting any comment so that is their problem. Actually I have been commenting

Glad to have provided some information that you found useful Patty. You are most welcome. The risk of sharing confidential information is probably the biggest one with using Apps. However, finding out a bit more about the App before installing it does go some way to managing the risk.

Yes, I completely agree. Most guest posters are full of junk and spam. When I guest post I try my best to make sure the content I write is very interesting, attention grabbing and creative. Gust posters should be effective writers first and foremost then start posting for other people since as you put it most guest post requests will get rejected.
